Destined for success

Nijah Fudge can be seen many places around campus: in the weight room, singing in the gospel choir, or at cheerleading and dance team practice, not to mention the class room. Fudge is a junior, has attended all three years at OU, is involved in many different clubs and activities around campus, and has managed to keep a 3.

The significance of "My Ottawa"

Ottawa University's anthem, also called an alma mater, is "My Ottawa," a song composed by JB Cramer in the 19th century with words by Franklin Johnson, university president from 1890 to 1892. Steven McDonald, assistant professor and orchestra coordinator, is a fan of the alma mater.

First timers experience wintery weather

What does that mean for students planning to travel home for the winter break? "I'm flying. It's too long of a drive and I hope the weather doesn't affect me getting home on time," Julian Mendez, junior from San Diego, CA., said. "I drive home for the summer.
