"American Idol" season 7 has drawn (and continues to draw) fans from every walk of life. Part of the attraction is that audiences really connect with the contestants. Everyone has a favorite and sometimes the show becomes a popularity rather than singing contest.

Bon Jovi performed in Kansas City recently and it was very clear that the band was wanted, dead or alive. I was ecstatic about going to see Bon Jovi at the Sprint Center. My parents love Bon Jovi, so in turn I grew up listening to them. From titles such as Wanted Dead or Alive to You Give Love a Bad Name, I know them all so I was completely pumped to see how an eighties hair band stands the test of time.

Study after study reveals that more Americans know more about pop culture than they do about their government, their history and (especially) the environment.

A survey by the McCormick Tribune Museum in Chicago revealed that only one in four Americans could name more than one of the five fundamental freedoms granted to them by the 1st Amendment, while almost double that could name more than one member of Homer Simpson's fictional household.

As graduation rapidly approaches, I feel as though I am not ready for what is about to come. I feel as though I did not fully prepare myself as a woman of God, but instead as a lost soul that kept searching for fulfillment. I have lived my life loving someone for the past five and a half years, but have not returned that love to myself and to God.

When I was younger, we moved around a lot and I have tons of old elementary and middle school friends scattered around the St. Louis Metro area, out of touch but there.

A few days ago, a girl that was something like my sidekick from third to fifth grade called me.
